Participatory resource assessment of the coastal and marine habitats of Camiguin Island

The Participatory Resource Assessment (PRA) of marine habitats of the five municipalities of Camiguin Island was conducted from May 12-31, 2008. The PRA process involved three days per municipality wherein slected local participants from the community (ranging from fisherfolks to members of the 'barangay' (village) council were trained in PRA methods (Day 1), conducted actual field surveys (Day 2) and analyzed and presented their results (Day 3). Participatory resource assessment of the coastal and marine habitats of Camiguin Island: Municipality of Mambajao

The Participaroty Resource Assessment (PRA) of the Municipality of Mambajao was conducted on May, 2008 with coral and fish survey methods training on May 20,2008, field habitat assessment on May 21, 2008, and the analysis and presentation of results on May 22, 2008.

Coral Reef Assessment.

Live coral cover in the different barngays of Mambajao ranged from 0-34.67%. Hishest live coral was obtained in Magting(34.57%) and lowest at Naasag (6.67%)
