Partnership for Biodiversity Conservation: Mainstreaming in Local Agricultural Landscapes (BPP)

This Manual of Procedures is a companion document to the "Framework for Preparing the Biodiversity-Enhanced Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan." It contains the details to the procedural steps, methods and techniques of data generation and analysis, plan formulation process and related matters referred to in the Framework pertaining to planning the management of areas where indigenous communities overlap with key conservation areas, or vice versa.

The guidelines is centered on the integration of biodiversity concerns in the preparation of CLUPs and Zoning Ordinances of LGUs. For every step in the HLURB's 12-step planning process in the preparation of the CLUP, a case example of how to apply biodiversity integration is provided in the manual.

This Checklist has been prepared to simplify the process of conducting an assessment of the effects of certain policies, plans and programs (PPaPs) on the environment, socio-economic well-being and human health for local government units (LGUs). It is designed to promote full integration of BDSEA in the PPaP making process and to encourage best practice in the application of BDSEA in LGUs.
