Tenure and Access, Shifter Investments, and Incentives/Disincentices: Ecogovernance Instruments as Used in Four Coastal Municipalities in Central Visayas

The Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI) contracted the Silliman University Legal Environmental Advocacy Program (SU-LEAP) to conduct a case study of local governance instruments utilized and implemented to specifically respond to tenurial and shifter investment issues in a coastal area. This study is part of the Philippine Environmental Governance Project (EcoGov) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) with financial assistance from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Allocation and Tenure Instruments on Forest Lands: a Source Book

This Source Book, prepared by the Philippine Environmental Governance (EcoGov) Project in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), is intended to serve as a reference material to help DENR field personnel in guiding communities, investors, local government units (LGUs), private persons and other organizations and individuals desiring to apply for tenure instruments on forest lands.

Improving governance of tenure: enhancing guidance for the issuance of a unified tenure system : final report

This commissioned study “Improving the Governance of Tenure in the Philippines” was conceptualized in response to the continuing deforestation and degradation of forest ecosystems and communities in the Philippines. These problems are further compounded by the lack of clear land use rights, bringing forth the insecurity of tenure for the public lands and the various peoples dependent on them.
