The Mananga-Kotkot-Lusaran Watershed Subproject is in Cebu Province and covers the cities of Cebu, Talisay and Danao and the municipalities of Minglanilla, Lilo-an, Consolacion, Compostela and Balamban. The rehabilitation of the MKL Watershed is significant considering the declining underground water supply aggravated by salt-water intrusion on the one hand and the continuing and pressing demand for water for Metro Cebu’s industries and residents on the other.

The implementation of Comprehensive Site Development ( CSD )

The Mayaoyao Watershed Subproject covers one of the three (3) Forestry Sector Project's Subprojects within the Magat Watershed. Magat Watershed is one of the important watersheds in the country supporting major economic production centers in Region 2. It also supports one of the biggest dams in Southeast Asia, the Magat Hyroelectric Dam.

The Malitubog-Maridagao Watershed Rehabilitation Subproject is located in Cotabato, within Barangay Puting Bato in Banisilan and Sitio Gawasan in Barangay Bentanagan. The Subproject is essential to both the Malitubog-Maridagao Watershed and the Mal-Mar Dam Irrigation Project for the environmental, agricultural and industrial benefits.

The Lapinig Island Mangrove Rehabilitation Subproject is located in the northeastern part of Bohol Province and covers a total land area of 1,033.2 hectares of open mudflats, secondary growth mangrove (sparse forest), and second growth mangrove under full-stocked forest. Rehabilitation of mangrove forest had been deemed important in view of its ecological impact as well as the socio-economic advantages that would redound to the communities.

The Laoag (Madongan) Watershed Subproject is located within two municipalities in Ilocos Norte: Marcos and Dingras covering Barangays Cacafean and San Marcelino in Marcos and Dingras, respectively.

Involvement in CSD and infrastructure activities of the People's Organization provided employment to 114 members, 19 of whom are women and generated a total of 231,253 man days. The women were employed in the maintenance and protection of the plantations.

The 2.5 km-farm-to-market road and the hanging bridge as Subproject

The Lake Mainit Watershed Subproject site covers Barangays San Pablo, Bunga, Magdagooc, San Jose and San Vicente in the Municipality of Jabonga, in Agusan del Norte. The rehabilitation of the watershed area is noteworthy, it being a portion of what used to be the concession area of the Lake Mainit Timber Corporation which was subjected to severe degradation in the eighties. The Subproject envisions a turn-around in its condition and the socio-economic situation as well of the upland communities.

The project enabled the communities to engage in

The Kabulnan Watershed which is within Barangays Saniag and Salman in the municipality of Ampatuan, Maguindanao plays an important role in the sustainable supply of water for agricultural and domestic purposes in the provinces of South Cotabato, Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat.

The Kabulnan Subprojet has provided additional but temporary employment for Barangay Saniag residents from the conduct of CSD and infrastructure activities in the six years of its implementation. Their average annual income increased during project implementation on off-farm activities.

The Maasin Watershed Rehabilitation Subproject is a portion of the Maasin Watershed Reserve declared by Governor Leonard Wood in 1923 and the main source of domestic and commercial water supply of Iloilo City. The degradation of the Maasin Watershed prompted the implementation of the Subproject.

The Tagana-an – Surigao City Mangrove Rehabilitation Subproject is located in Surigao del Norte with some portions covering Barangays Himamaug, Sampaguita, Opong, Fabio and Banban in the Municipality of Tagana-an and some portions in Surigao City particularly in Barangays Nabago, Cabongbongan and Manjagao. Being once an ideal spawning and feeding grounds for milkfish fries and other marine life, it was imperative to embark on the rehabilitation of the mangroves and the restoration of its productive and protective functions.

Rizal Mangrove Rehabilitation Subproject is located in the tidal mudflats and coastal waters of Mucielagos Bay within the municipalities of Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte and Sapang Dalalga Mabini and Balinagao, Misamis Occidental. The subproject covers parcels of inadequate stocked mangrove lands and open or denuded areas interspersed along the coast.

The project has provided regular employment not only to its members but also to non-members of the PO’s. They participated in plantation establishment, construction of infrastructure and livelihood projects.
