Philippine Climate Change Adaptation Project (PhilCCAP)

The project is a pilot, to develop and demonstrate approaches that would enable targeted communities to adapt to the potential impacts of climate variability and change.  This would be achieved by strengthening existing institutional frameworks for climate change adaptation, and by the demonstration of cost-effective adaptation strategies in agriculture and natural resources management.

Enhanced Climate-Smart Farmers' Field School Program Manual for Trainors

The ECS-FFS Program Manual is a set of guidelines for Filipino farmers, agricultural extension workers, students, and other stakeholders; containing textual and graphic information on agricultural practices in preparing for a climate-smart agriculture. The manual is composed of three courses: (1) Climate Elements and Application to Agriculture; (2) Climate Change Adaptation Technologies and Options; and (3) Climate Change Risk Management.

Peñablanca Protected Landscape and Seascape Management Plan : Strengthening Climate Change Resilience through Improved Watershed and Coastal Resources Management in Protected Areas

 
Peñablanca Protected Landscape and Seascape (PPLS) became a protected area through Presidential Proclamation No. 484 issued on October 6, 2003.  It was an expansion from the original Peñablanca Protected Landscape (PPL), which covered 4,136 hectares. The PPLS currently has 103,801 hectares of land and 14, 980 hectares of water.  Eighteen barangays comprise the PPLS.

Climate Scenarios for the Philippine Climate Change Adaptation Project (PhilCCAP)

This report summarises the Climate Change projections generated using CSIRO's Conformal-Cubic Atmospheric Model (CCAM) in order to help PAGASA provide regional climate projections.  It includes the description of the procedures used to generate the various data and presents some of the results in graphic form.  The results also present the various risks associated with various climate change indices, with confidence levels presented using the 10th, 50th and 90th percentile change values among the model results.

Climate Change Adaptation among Farm Families and Stakeholders: a Toolkit for Assessment and Analysis

This toolkit is a product of the Philippine Climate Change Adaptation Project (PhilCCAP), a five-year undertaking sponsored by the Global Environmental Facility Special Climate

Change Fund (GEF SCCF) to develop and demonstrate effective approaches, as well as adaptive measures to increase the country’s resilience to climate change.
