The project involves the technical assistance that will review the extent of hazardous waste contamination from urban areas of both concerned government agencies and communities of Indonesia and Philippines and develop urban revitalization recommendations for both countries.
The Technical Assistance (TA) aligns with ADB’s County Partnership Strategy (CPS) for the Philippines for 2011–2016. The CPS seeks to reduce environmental degradation and vulnerability to climate change and disasters by helping the government gain access to concessionary resources made available for greenhouse gas mitigation in the land use sectors at the global level; working with government and the private sector on possible public–private partnership solutions; and improving sustainable environmental infrastructure in urban areas.
