Protect Wildlife: Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Survey in Relation to Biodiversity Values, Threats, and Conservation in Southern Palawan

Capacity Building for Environmental Law Enforcement: a Compendium on Enforcement Training and Planning Modules

Wildlife from Forests to Cages: An Analysis of Wildlife Seizures in the Philippines

The illegal wildlife trade is one of the most lucrative transnational crimes in the world. Numerous wildlife are threatened with extinction due to overexploitation for food, medicine, and as pets. Although it is difficult to quantify the illegal wildlife trade due to its mostly clandestine nature, analyzing seizure data can indicate its magnitude. Wildlife seizure records from the DENR, PCSDS, and other sources for the period 2010–2019 were collated and analyzed to identify species threatened by the illegal wildlife trade, hotspots, and trafficking

This volume entitled Primer on Criminal Procedures for Violations in Protected Areas provides practical answers to basic and frequently asked questions regarding the enforcement of Philippine environmental and natural resources laws within protected areas.

It describes the step-by-step process, from apprehension to the filing of the case to the promulgation of judgment and the various remedies. The primer intends to enrich the knowledge and skills of field workers and community-based paralegals in protected areas regarding the law enforcement aspect of their conservation work.
