Survey and Characterization of Native Fruit and Ethnomedicinal Trees in Apayao: Technical Report
This project, implemented from January 2022 to December 2022, aimed to study the morphological and chemical characteristics of native fruit and ethnomedicinal trees in Apayao to serve as a basis for conservation in terms of propagation and policy recommendations. This report provides in detail the results and discussion on the morphological characteristics and conservation status of edible and ethnomedicinal trees, DNA barcoding analysis, chemical analysis (phytochemical and cytotoxicity), utilization and threats of ethnomedicinal trees, and local utilization of ethnomedicinal trees vis-a-vis the results of phytochemical analysis.
