Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism : Training manual
This manual is intended to be a handy reference to DENR ADR rules and regulations on dealings with claims and conflicts on public lands. The manual will cover conflicts arising from the public land application process and those that have already been subject to the formal claims and conflict cases (public land application protest cases) handled by the DENR field offices, the DENR Regional Office Legal Divisions, and the DENR Central Office in cases of appeals to the Office of the Secretary.
The manual aims to synthesize ADR concepts and provide infographic materials that show structures, processes, and work progressions that are easily understood and more appealing to the increasing younger DENR workforce.
The Manual is comprised of four parts. The first part is a broad outline of ADR policies, rules, and regulations including a brief discussion of common conflicts on public lands. The second part discusses the general concepts on mediation as a form of ADR. The third part presents the various ways an ADR is to be conducted. Finally, the last part shows the resources needed in the conduct of ADR.
