The following are CCA strategies developed by the project:
1. Develop the Enhanced Climate Smart Farmer Field School (ECS FFS) as a learning and discovery program that capacitate farmers regarding financial risk reduction mechanisms and farming methods based on climate hazards. For the project, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) formulated an improved version of their existing Climate Field School (CFS), with the inclusion of CCA practices and strategies. This collaboration produced the ECS FFS.
One of the components of the Bamboo Research and Development Project (BRDP) is the Bambusetum Development Component wherein 3 Bambuseta were built for the preservation of genetic variability of Philippine bamboo species and diversification of raw material. These bambuseta were built in Baguio City (56 species), Los Banos (32 species) and Davao (30 species). Genetic Resource Conservation, Propagation and distribution, International Bamboo Species Exchange, and Documentation and Library are some of the activities initiated by the Project.
One of the expected results of the project is the effective use of the experiences gained in creating favorable framework conditions for the sustainable management of natural resources. To achieve this, the official acceptance for the establishment of the CBFM Academy at the CFPQ Training Center has been proposed during the National CBFM Retooling Workshop. The CFPQ Training Center is a conducive venue for the conduct of trainings, workshops, consultations and meetings.
1. Operating Policy Guideline | Operations Manual. To provide clear directions and facilitate project implementation, it is essential that the DENR should already prepare, at the start of the Project or even during appraisal, an Operating Policy Guideline or Operations Manual that will clearly define implementation arrangements for the project, including the following:
a. Coverage of the project in terms of components and territorial engagement
b. Nature and extent of project interventions
