Through the Biodiversity and Watersheds Improved for Stronger Economy and Resiliency Program or B+WISER, the Lawin System was developed. The system aims to strengthen forest and biodiversity protection systems through the application of a science-based and technology-aided forest protection system that is relevant to forest and biodiversity, conservation, protection and management.

The Biodiversity and Watersheds Improved for Stronger Economy and Resiliency Program or B+WISER developed a payment for ecosystem services (PES) model for the local government of Bago City in Negros Occidental.
The PES implementation by the city government started in 2017 and has been a success since, as they were able to sustain the collection, which reached around PhP 2.0 Million in 2023, and PhP 1.9 Million from January to February 2024.
This report compiles the Lessons Learned, Good Practices, Innovations and Success Stories (LGIS) of 13 completed special projects from 2016 to 2022 in the Luzon region that were validated through the conduct of sustainability monitoring and assessment.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources, through the Foreign-Assisted and Special Projects Service, conducted the forum on lessons learned, good practices, and success stories featuring the Integrated Coastal Resources Management Project (ICRMP) in the City of Mati, Davao Oriental with the theme "Partnering Strategies for Project Success" held on December 5, 2018.
To commemorate the 11-year journey of the Forestland Management Project, the DENR through FASPS, together with the FMP Central Project Management Office, organized the 2023 LGIS Forum with the theme: “Modelling Sustainable Forest Management: The FMP Way,” bringing together multiple stakeholders from national and local governments, DENR officials and staff, relevant stakeholders and project beneficiaries.
