The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has established the EMS Manual based on ISO 14001:2015 - Environmental Management Systems-requirement with guidance for use - as a structured and systematic tool to deliver its mandate to protect the environment and natural resources of the Philippines.

Interlinkages on biodiversity, climate change and land degradation : trainer's guide

This Konek3Rio module was prepared by the on-going UNDP-GEF assisted project entitled "Strengthening Coordination for Effective Environmental Management (STREEM)". The STREEM project aims to improve the coordination among focal point agencies (FPAs) of the three multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs), namely: United Nations Convention on Biodiversity (UNCBD), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) collectively known as the Rio Conventions.

THIS DOCUMENT HAS BEEN PREPARED IN TWO SECTIONS: SECTION ONE: BACKGROUND TO THE ENTITLEMENTS AND INCENTIVES PLAN

This Section describes the current situation of regular personnel and contractuals with regard to entitlements and incentives. The section makes recommendations for which entitlements and incentives “PACKAGES” should be pursued for both groups. There is no package as such for Entitlements as these are being pursued within the usual channels of GOP personnel management. Action towards entitlements are relying on the analysis in Section 1.

This volume entitled Primer on Criminal Procedures for Violations in Protected Areas provides practical answers to basic and frequently asked questions regarding the enforcement of Philippine environmental and natural resources laws within protected areas.

It describes the step-by-step process, from apprehension to the filing of the case to the promulgation of judgment and the various remedies. The primer intends to enrich the knowledge and skills of field workers and community-based paralegals in protected areas regarding the law enforcement aspect of their conservation work.

Monitoring and Evaluating Municipal / City Plans and Programs for Coastal Resource Management

This three-part manual serves as a guide in undertaking Monitoring and Evaluation ( M & E). It provides instructions on how an LGU can monitor and evaluate the implementation of its CRM plans and programs and their impacts on coastal resources; prepare reports; an use results for CRM planning. It also describes a CRM certification system to benchmark LGU performance in CRM for prioritizing investments of local and national government and foreign funding institutions.
