A Report on Key Capacity and Training Gaps in Illegal Wildlife Trade Across Law Enforcement Agencies in the Philippines

This report contains the results of the assessment of the capacity and training needs across law enforcement agencies, including generating an inventory and analysis of all capacity building programs such as trainings and learning events conducted on IWT across the law enforcement chain, complaints filed with the Department of Justice including status, modules developed and used, identifying capacity and training gaps.

Bantay Gubat Paralegal Manual : Sibalom Forest Protection and Rehabilitation Project Sibalom, Antique

As early as 1997, Deputized Environment and Natural Resources Officers (DENROS), more popularly known as Bantay Gubat Volunteers, have been identified and organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to help in conservation efforts along the area of Mt. Poras in Sibalom, Antique in accordance with Department Administrative Order Number 41 series of 1997 of the DENR. Due to lack of financial and technical resources, however, the Bantay Gubat Volunteers were not properly guided and monitored.

This compilation comprises three sections: the loan-assisted projects, the grant-assisted projects and the special projects.

Both loan-assisted and special projects are mainly under the Forestry sector, while the grant-assisted projects are mainly related to Biodiversity, Coastal and Marine, Environment, Forestry, Lands and Multi-sectoral (Environment and Natural Resources).
